Fitbit Charge Not Counting Floors

My charge 3 is counting floors i haven t climbed.

Fitbit devices that count floors have an altimeter sensor that detects when you go up in elevation. I have tried restarting it numerous times but my fitbit still won t count floors. Not all flights are the same height or distance so if the flight you climbed is less than 10 feet you may find that the device s floor count doesn t exactly match how many floors you climbed. Over the past week my fit bit has stopped counting floors.

Your device registers 1 floor when you climb about 10 feet or 3 meters. I normally do around 40 60 floors a day and no i m lucky if it registers 1. Sorry for the delay in my reply. It will count 1 floor for every 10 ft it detects you climbed. But my charge 2 does not count them correctly at all. Sometimes if i went up in an elevator i got credit for more floors.

I have a samsung s10 phone. Friday march 15 is when this appears to have started for me. There is not a way to delete this inaccurate information either. No steps at all.

I walked today did aerobics and housework. That was some weeks ago and i ve had no other problems since then. I am assuming that the fitbit is broken but thought inwould raise the issue on here if it can be fixed easily with the app. I recharged and restarted my charge 2 and it started counting floors again.

I was not carrying anything.
