Current problems just started. In the last 2 3 days the floor count has gone excessively high. The number of floors. Your device uses changes in barometric pressure combined with the steps you take to calculate floors climbed.

It s very hard for me to do stairs so i m happy when my fitbit charge hr adds floors. On the first day i took a trip and drove about 500 miles and my charge 3 counted 8 floors despite the fact that i did not climb any stairs step count was certainly off as well. Just bought a charge 3 just a few days ago. My 2x great niece double tapped my fitbit and it started the stop watch. The fitbit charge 4 looks almost identical to the fitbit charge 3 and while the charge 3 did offer an updated design it does still feel a little dated at this point.

One day the count was up to 96 floors and i know i did less than 10 floors that day with no driving or other activity that would give me a false count. 84 floors today when it should be under 20 probably more like 10. I hope fitbit can find a solution because while this issue is not a deal breaker for me i do find it. But i feel like fitbit still owes me some floors.

Fitbit devices detect floors using something called an altimeter. I did not have this issue with my charge 2 and would have never gone to the charge 3 but my charge 2 pulse lights no longer work. I tried resetting my charge 3 a couple times but this did nothing to fix the problem.
